• Class includes group instruction, on-the-water practice sessions, individual one-on-one instruction with Mary Ann, and fun group fishing activities. • Some prior fly fishing experience is recommended.

INSTRUCTION INCLUDES: ·      Equipment overview ·      Essential knots ·      Introduction to entomology            & fly selection ·      Casting basics ·      Distance casting ·      Playing/landing large fish ·      Dry fly techniques, streamer and            nymph techniques, and            chironomid/midge techniques.

A former fly shop owner,
Mary Ann Dozer has fished extensively across the West.  For the past two years, she has specialized in teaching women the fine art of fly casting and fly fishing in Oregon and Northern California.  Mary Ann has participated in Casting For Recovery events for 5 years, is an officer on the Oregon Council of the Federation of fly fishers, and is an active participant in several women’s fly fishing events.
